- Cocktail Bar
Description
The first permanent bar from Bán Poitín founder Dave Mulligan, 1661 is all about turning Ireland's most notorious spirit into some very snazzy cocktails. Located up in Rotunda, the bar sees slick leather furnishings and rustic wood fixings combined to bring out the feel of an old-school boozer with some modern sensibilities.
The drinks list follows suit, mixing poitín into some very contemporary cocktails including the coffee liqueur toting Arran St East and the Pantibar that throws mezcal, lime and rose into the mix. And if it's something a little neater you're looking for, you can grab yourself a poitín tasting flight to sample some of the finest examples of the spirit from across the country.
You can also grab a few snacks while you're at it as 1661 offer up a range of tasty boards and platters including salt beef sandwiches served with mustard and pickles.
