Description
Known for being 'the best BBQ in Dublin', Bison Bar combines hearty grub off the grill with the largest selection of whiskies in Ireland - yeeeeehaw!
Located just besides The Workman's club, Bison Bar is a fantastic venue that takes great influence from the king of BBQs - the Texans. The decor here has a touch of genius about it - seats come in the form of saddles, and if you want to nip out for a smoke, you'll have to make like a cowboy and lurch out of a window.
Of course, the food is what makes this venue so special. The menu is straight to the point, with just four or five main dishes to choose from and as many sides - pulled pork, ribs, whole roast chickens and their speciality '14 hour mouth-watering Irish beef brisket' is what you can expect to find here - all of which will simply melt in your mouth. Wash down these huge portions with a few pints and some straight whiskeys for the full texan BBQ experience. It must be noted that this restaurant isn't like most when it comes to closing times, the kitchen operates on a 'once the meat is gone, we're closed' basis. All of the meat is smoked overnight for over 13 hours (the night before), so once it's gone, it's can't be rustled up just like that - food this good takes prep.
