Whenever anyone mentions words like 'stylish', 'elegant' and
'opulent', our minds immediately think of Tigerlily. Based on
George Street in New Town, the famous hotel-cum-restaurant-cum-bar
is popular with the Edinburgh's a-listers and young crowds.
The venue holds two beautifully decorated bars, both of which
are swamped with guests in their finest outfits on a Saturday
night. Bursting with colour and offering a fresh feeling courtesy
of the many flower pots and vases, every corner features an
eye-catching piece of furniture or an intriguing permanent feature;
one entire wall is covered in a mosaic of small mirrors, while
another features a black and white mural.
The chefs in the kitchen maintain the venue's opulent feel with
their menu of seasonal British dishes, including traditional
Scotish recipes, fresh seafood and an incredible steak selection
featuring cuts from the award winning butcher, John Davidson.
Opening early at 8:30 AM, guests can enjoy breakfast, dinner and
everything in between here.
But stealing the limelight is the bars drinks list. The
mixologists use an arsenal of fine spirits, fresh fruits,
exotic spices and eye-watering liqueurs to create a range of
hand-crafted cocktails. Featuring both classic recipes and more
contemporary creations, each drink twists and twirls a wonderful
array of flavours together, creating well-balanced drinks that
appeal to everyone, regardless of their tastes and
preferences.
