The Pop-Up Geeks are bringing Harry Potter to life for their next project.
From the new Fantastic Beasts films through to the alleged Pokemon-Go-style game, Harry Potter mania shows absolutely no sign of slowing down. And we for one are not complaining, especially when that mania creates the likes of a themed bar in Edinburgh. From bar whizzes Pop-Up Geeks, Perilous Potions is set to open at some point in 2018 and will bring Snape's infamous potions lessons to life. Guests to the bar will be able to pick their ingredients and muddle up concoctions with the help of skilled bartenders, with each potion having a different outcome dependent on your 'wizarding ability'.
Cocktails will be listed in individual 'potions books' and so far include the likes of a flaming Goblet of Fire and The Draught of Delirium, said to extend the drinker's life - for a price. This not the first time the event organisers have looked to popular culture for inspiration, with a spate of successful pop-ups inspired by Game of Thrones, Stranger Things and the Walking Dead.
Perilous Potions by the Pop-Up Geeks will open at some point in 2018; keep an eye out for updates.
