This month, the Tron is brimming with events like the Bad Boy Pub Quiz and Karaoke. Located near the Royal Mile, this spot has a top-notch bar on the main floor and a basement where you can watch a movie or shoot some pool. And let's not even get into the grub – they've got all sorts of mouthwatering treats, from stone-baked pizzas to fancy burgers and loaded nachos to make your tastebuds dance.
Looking for the best cheap and free things to do in Edinburgh city centre? Then head to The Three Sisters in the Old Town, where they've got absolutely loads of them. This quirky pub and event space hosts a regular lineup of live music on its sparkly stage, or you can attend their free karaoke club on Sundays to have a go at singing yourself. This modern Scottish brewery champions local craft beer, and you can have a look round their venue for just £15 per person. The 45-minute experience also includes a tasting flight of three 1/3 pints, and you can sample even more of their creations in the taproom afterwards.

Edinburgh is lined with beautiful roads, from the 18th-century style Circus Lane to the lengthy, cobbled Belford Mews and The Shore in Leith, overlooking the river. This welcoming pub is a great place for a boogie once the sun goes down, and they host live DJ sessions every single Friday and Saturday from 8pm until 1am, with sets from Cammy Wilson and Connor Reid.
