Description
The Last Drop is a traditional pub that can trace its roots back to the 17th century.
Based in the Grassmarket, the venue's name harks back to the iconic square's dark history as the spot of public executions in Edinburgh. Back in the 17th and 18th century, condemned prisoners would be taken to this spot to have one last drink before making the short walk to the hangman's noose - hence the name, The Last Drop.
Like every traditional pub in Edinburgh, guests can enjoy a range of local ales, craft beers and fine wines, alongside a great selection of single malt scotches. To complete the experience, the pub's food menu features all the usual gastro-pub suspects. From hearty pies, grilled steaks, cheese-heavy burgers and beer-battered fish & chips, guests are certain to leave with a full belly and a booze-induced spring in their step.
