Description
The White Hart Inn prides itself as one of Edinburgh's oldest pubs, tracing its root back to 1740. Serving a range of local ales, beers and gastro-pub food, it never disappoints and is a stalwart of the iconic Grassmarket. The name of the pub actually pre-dates the building itself, harking back to 1128 when King David I saw a white stag while hunting in what became Holyrood Park. Highlighting the pub's history even further, it was awarded the coveted prize of being named Edinburgh's Most Haunted Pub back in 2005.
As with every traditional pub, the venue boasts an impressive whisky, beer and real ale selection that caters for a wide range of tastes. To keep things on an even keel, the kitchen serves classic gastro meals such as beer-battered fish and chips, roast dinner and angus beef burgers, topped with fresh salad and cheese.
