Description
Number One is a restaurant that needs little introduction in Edinburgh. The venue is renowned both in the city and across Scotland for serving the very best modern Scottish cuisine.
Chef Matthew Sherry has created a revolving menu that takes traditional flavour combinations and flips them on their head. Featuring the likes of Balmoral salmon, Inverurie hogget and quail eggs, every dish on the menu is made using only the finest ingredients that the team can get their hands on.
Sleek and suave, the walls are covered with pieces from the Royal Academy of Art in London and the renowned work of Adam Ellis. However, crucially, the colour tones and traditional furniture allows the restaurant to maintain the same welcoming mood that it's thrived off since 1997. The mantra is simple; Michelin-starred food in a luxurious setting.
