- Restaurant Bar
Description
Fhior delivers seasonal and fresh Scottish food to Edinburgh.
Coming to you from Scott Smith, former chef patron of hugely successful Norn, the name of the restaurant means 'true' in Gaelic, reflecting the ethos of their ingredients. The venue is split between the main dining room, where guests enjoy tasting menus and a la carte lunches come the weekend. There's also a small front of house café-cum-bar serving up coffee, pastries and snacks, as well as pre or post dinner drinks.
The set tasting menu is created using ingredients from their own Fhior Kitchen Garden, located just outside of the city, along with produce from a team of local suppliers and foragers. Anything that’s not used is preserved using fermentation, tinctures and drying. The wine, on the other hand, is global, with bottles that reflect the intricacies of a region with minimal interference.
