Description
A hidden gem on Advocate’s Close, just off the Royal Mile, this whisky bar is a firm favourite with locals and tourists alike. Located in an historic Victorian pump house and featuring traditional elements like bare brick walls, raw wood and old stone softened a covered terrace and cosy booths lit by candles, it’s an unbeatable spot to linger over a dram and admire the well-stocked back bar.
This bar is home to over 300 Scottish and world whiskies, although widely celebrated for this unique collection, their award-winning bartenders also serve devilishly good cocktails, a considered wine list and selected craft beers. As a unique setting in which to enjoy an expertly mixed drink, or learn more about Scotland’s favourite spirit, it’s pretty hard to beat. But add in the delicious food menu which is a celebration of the very best of Scottish produce, boasting seasonal and local ingredients, and it’s no wonder The Devil’s Advocate has been rated as one of the Top 500 Most Influential Bars in the World.
