The Gannet

1 review - Restaurant Bar
Description
The Gannet is the latest addition to Finnieston's thriving foodie scene and the ever-growing collection of bars in the area. On the bustling Argyle Street, this new bar has been skillfully created, with no effort spared in the process, from restoring the premises, to selecting the menu.
The new Glasgow restaurant bar takes its lead from the ingredients, which have been painstakingly sourced from growers, fishermen and artisan producers from the Hebrides, and throughout Scotland. Located in a reclaimed tenement, which stood derelict for a decade, the cosy, ambient space has retained rough elements like exposed brickwork and unfinished timber, and paired them with glossy lighting and modern design. Already attracting a lively mixed crowd, the low lighting, bar seating and layout of tables creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Dinerscan choose from small plates at the bar, or larger dishes from the restaurant menu, with The Gannet open for both lunch and dinner sittings. With impeccable food, an extensive wine list, and a romantic, yet bustling feel, we expect this new Glasgow restaurant and bar to become an instant classic among Finniestonians, and beyond.
