Description
A laid back bar and kitchen on Bath Street, Slouch is a popular hangout in Glasgow City Centre. With a music policy that leans heavy on the side of jazz, blues and rock 'n' roll, Slouch is haven of great live music almost every night. Decor takes inspiration from the tunes, with speakeasy-style, jazz bar design; chesterfield sofas, posh wallpaper, a fireplace with old-style ornaments painted on the wall, black and white tiles and chandelier light fittings. And with a nod to the name, comfy couches and bean bags just made for slouching, are scattered about the venue.
Like any blues joint worth its salt, the bar is fully stocked, with a extensive selection of whiskey and rum. A wide cocktail menu has a range of classics as well as bespoke house drinks with names like Sloe Train A Comin’ and Dr Feelgood. As well as bar bites and lunch staples, the accomplished kitchen also dishes up a menu of seasonal dishes. The young professional crowd is littered with music fans, and while the bar is busiest for late night DJs at weekends, great local and visiting bands throughout the week still draw quite the posse.
