Description
With something of a cult status among locals, The Admiral guarantees a cracking night out in Glasgow City Centre. While it looks like just-your-average boozer from the outside, inside, The Admiral is rare treat. Upstairs a friendly, chilled out bar with posh pub decor, makes for a bustling local, with great pub grub and a packed schedule of quiz nights and live sport. The crowd here varies from regulars in for a pint mid-week to a fun party crowd out for the weekend.
Downstairs The Admiral's club and venue, The Hold, hosts a collection of some of Glasgow's best-loved club nights every Saturday, with everything from funk and soul to pop and hip-hop. The weekly Star Folk Club ensures a great session every Tuesday, while an eclectic range of musicians grace the stage from time to time with everything from blues to bluegrass. Billy Connolly and Beth Ditto have both made it onto The Admiral's esteemed bill, so you never quite know what you're going to get.
