A fun new fiesta spot is coming to Glasgow city centre, adding yet another quirky and unusual location to the city’s already eclectic mix of nights out. Mezcal, a Mexican taqueria and bar, is set to open in the coming weeks on Hope Street, hosting a number of live DJ sets from Thursday to Saturday. The namesake Mexican spirit is a sure-fire party starter and packs one hell of a punch - a promising sign of things to come from the venue.
Housed in a former insurance brokers, the restaurant is the newest member of the Rotunda Group, joining other popular Glaswegian haunts including Halloumi, Pickled Ginger, Rioja and La Rotunda. Whilst we don’t yet know all the details of the menu, we’re guessing that alongside a range of tacos, the 40-cover cantina will also specialise in a number of other popular Mexican-style dishes and drinks - in other words: bring on all the tequila.
