Description
A new, old bar in Glasgow. The Bar & Fly is a new bar in Glasgow, opening whether the much-loved, legendary Clydeside music venue Barfly used to stand. After four years of lying empty, a fan of the bar, Glaswegian, Chris Queen has stepped in with a new venture in a venue which once hosted bands like Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party, and The Libertines during its six year tenure.
The new bar has made very few changes, hoping to retain the charm that made this venue so popular in the past The club space downstairs will stay the same with dive bar decor, while upstairs, will be a cool NYC loft bar style with a pool table and graffiti. With some cracking Glasgow DJs, club nights and bands pitted to make the move to the new Glasgow bar and club, The Bar & Fly is set to re-secure its spot as one of Glasgow's most iconic venues. Watch this space for more as we get it, as the new owners say, "We're excited, you're excited, let's get together and excite each other".
