Beer Cafe

With more than 100 beers on offer, Merchant City bar Beer Cafe more than lives up to its name. With a prime location on Merchant Square, Beer Cafe is designed a little like an Italian Cafe, with red leather seating, mirrors and white glass lights. But rather than ordering a macchiato, cappuccino or espresso, this cafe pours out pilsner, weisse or dunkel with beers from (almost) every continent - unfortunately no breweries have made it to Antarctica just yet. 

Popular with the after work crowd, passing shoppers, and of course, beer lovers, regulars come in to sample beers of the world and have their cards punched; 25 beers gets a free tee. If brews aren't your thing Beer Cafe also has a decent selection of wine. Eats come in pie form with quirky choices including Kate and Sydney, Pietantic, Highlander and Shamrock. Regular live music and great terrace spaces seal the deal on this nifty boozer.
