Description
A cool warehouse style cafe bar and venue in Glasgow City Centre, Broadcast has been a welcome addition to the city's live music scene since it popped up in late 2012. With a raw decor of stripped brickwork, exposed pipping and bare light bulbs, Broadcast has that distinctive Brooklyn vibe to it, luring cool kids in their skinny-jeaned droves.
The split level venue hosts a jam-packed and diverse schedule of indie and alternative gigs which has secured it a loyal following among Glasgow's music fans. Despite its hip status, Broadcast remains a friendly joint, accompanying the listings with quiz nights (Broadcast took over the Captain's Quiz after the beloved Captain's Rest closed down in 2012), movie screenings and drinks promos, ensuring its footing as more that just the latest hipster hangout. Burger and pizza deals fill out a cafe menu alongside salads and small plates. Meanwhile the full bar offers a great range of draughts, spirits and cocktails, with margaritas a house speciality.
