Description
Another jewel to add to the Kelvingrove crown, Ox and Finch is the biggest thing to hit Sauchiehall Street in years. This hugely-popular restaurant is the brainchild of Jonathan MacDonald, with Aurélien Mourez leading the kitchen and Andy MacSween overseeing the front-of-house team.
Occupying a much coveted corner space on Sauchiehall Street, the building has undergone a major renovation to transform it into its current state of glory; now it boasts a sharp and impressive design that showcases raw brick, Victorian tiling, concrete tables and an open kitchen. The space comfortably hosts seventy diners, with space for a further ten at the more informal bar space.
The menu consists of a cool selection of seasonally inspired dishes, all of which are served in a style that encourages sharing. Dishes are matched with a wide and varied selection of wines, as well as a hearty selection of locally brewed craft beers by the bottle and on draught.
