What they say:
Founder Jonathan MacDonald hopped aboard the Kelvingrove bandwagon and has launched Ox and Finch, a cool Euro-inspired bar and restaurant, in one of the most happening areas of town. MacDonald has paired up with big shots Daniel Spurr (former Sous Chef at Martin Misharts in Loch Lomond) and Mario Posolda (who previously worked at the Gallery Mess at Saatchi Gallery), to create an eating and drinking space that allows for contemporary dining in a sharp but relaxed environment.
What we say:
One of the most anticipated openings in Glasgow has finally landed and boy, is it a charmer. Dripping in Victorian style tilings, industrial lookin' furnishings and a whole load of raw brick and steel, this is one of the smartest new bars in Glasgow. Guests are served a selection of fine wines and craft beers alongside a menu of seasonally inspired dishes - these guys want to encourage contemporary dining in a laid back but ever-so-good lookin' environment. It's fair to say that we've fallen more than a little in love with this one.
