Description
Since opening in February 2013, Munro's has been a neat little addition to Glasgow's West End. A cool, lively craft beer bar-meets-gastro pub, this stylish, rustic hangout prides itself on carefully created food and drinks menus. With butcher shop tiling and exposed brickwork on the walls, cable spool tables, tyre light fixtures and tweed couches, there's a decidedly artisan feel to this place. Couple that with a massive selection of craft and cask beers and ales and a menu of gourmet pizzas and posh hot dogs as well as sharing platters and quirky Beer Bite Buckets, and you have yourself one nifty little bar.
Acoustic folk sessions and weekly quiz nights provide midweek entertainment, while match-days see games screened live and DJs swoop in at weekends with some tunes from 9pm. A really comfortable and trendy bar, without the try-hard feel, Munro's welcomes a mix of left-of-centre young professionals, food fiends and discerning beer drinkers, mulled together, this bunch make for a cheery, low-maintenance crowd.
