We don't know if it's been The Great Gatsby, the great recession, or maybe just something great in the water, but something has inspired a bit of a vintage revival in Glasgow bars lately, with Arta being the latest venue to jump on the old school train. The Bang Bang Club will bring a touch of class to Glasgow's nightlife scene, with cabaret performers, a big band and vintage music being order of the night.
The Bang Bang Club will take place every second month at Arta and is sure to be popular with lovers of all things 1920s. Their first show kicks off on the 6th of September, with the acts taking to the stage from 8pm. We reckon the Bang Bang Club is the perfect girly night out with your BFFs, or unique date night in Glasgow for vintage-minded twosomes, perhaps even make a night of it by booking a VIP booth or by dining in the Arta restaurant beforehand - a little bird tells us to quote "bang bang" for 20% off their a la carte menu.
Dig out your finest twenties attire (that would be feathered headbands and fur stoles, pearls for the ladies, fedoras for the gents) and you'll fit right in. This event is set to be a hit one, tickets cost £15, and include a champagne cocktail and assorted nibbles. If you simply can't wait until The Bang Bang Club to have a roaring night out, bars like The Riding Room and new Glasgow bar Steampunk Cafe offer nights out with a vintage flair seven days a week.
Red lipstick and flapper dresses at the ready, ya hear?
