A rather novel event in Glasgow this Halloween, make like you're on a date night in 1960 and head to the drive in. Over four nights, (October 31st - November 3rd) you can pull up in Victoria Park in West Glasgow, and enjoy some old school flicks in an old school setting. The event has been organised by itison, with STV.
Choose between a family-friendly film or a freaky flick. Each evening's double bill will show Ghostbusters in the evening for the little (and not so little) 'uns, and later on, Halloween will come on to ensure enough jumps to empty your popcorn tub entirely.
The movies will be shown on a 100 metre LED screen (the biggest of its kind in the world, dontcha know?) and all punters have to do, is pull up, tune in their radio for the sound, and enjoy the show.
Eats on the night will be supplied by those taste-mongers at Street Food Cartel with classic movie theatre delights, like pizzas, hot dogs and popcorn. Tickets cost £25 per car, and are selling fast, so fast, an extra fourth date was added.
Organisers are encouraging folk to dress up, roll down their windows and make like they're on the set of Grease. Set to be a fun quirky night, and a unique chance to try out this quintessentially retro American experience.
