Fancy yourself as a bit of a curry buff? Reckon you know your Iraqi Biryani from your Punjabi Keema? Well it's time to put your taste buds to the test. Merchant City Indian restaurant, KoolBa are hosting their very own dinner in the dark on the 19th of June. A seven course journey from Persia to Pubjab...blindfolded.
The quirky night out will be hosted by Glasgow's very own comedian, actor and self-appointed Indian Takeaway ambassador, Hardeep Singh Kohli.
Over the evening, blindfolded diners will be guided by Hardeep through a chuckle-filled tasting of the diverse spectrum of Persian and Pujabi cuisine. With seven courses to sample, it will be more than just your average curry night, as you explore new flavours and textures, all the while with your eyes covered - so remember not to wear white, yeah? Bound to be a cracking night out in Merchant City, the tasting would be a novel idea for a date night in Glasgow or just something a little different to do with pals.
Why not make a night of it and swing by Merchant Square bars like Metropolitan or Boudoir en route, or if you can handle a dance after seven courses of curry, Merchant City clubs like The Shimmy Club and Cirque are both nearby. Tickets for the Dining in the Dark @ KoolBa cost £30pp and are available from the restaurant on Candleriggs.
