If you haven't heard of these gastronomic gurus from Glasgow, you really should have. Racking up cheffing skills from kitchens all over the city, including The Arches, Ubiquitous Chip and Ox and Finch, Gastro Punx is a two-man team (Shaun Molloy and Jordan Steel) who are all about revolutionising the food evolution up North. Back with a New Year pop-up foodie special, the boys will be continuing their trend of taking over unique and independent venue spaces to turn them into a truly tasty and urban eating experience.
Come January 31st the boys will be setting their kitchen up at Merchant City's Trans Europe Cafe, a retro little shack of continental foods and tastes. Gastro Punx will be whipping up 7 courses taking inspiration from the cafes surroundings to influence the dishes on the menu. This is set to be one intimate dining affair of restaurant style foods brought to you in new and unusual settings.
The Gastro Punx Pop-Up Dining Experience will be on January 31st and February 1st at the Trans Europe Cafe, 25 Parnie Street G1 5RJ @ 7pm. Tickets are £40.
