There was mass-mourning in Glasgow back in September when Panther Milk and its dairy-based drinks offering abruptly shut-up-shop. But fear not, its replacement has just been announced, and from the sounds of it, this place will be raising the cocktails stakes to a whole new higher level.
Located on Mitchell Lane and accessible via Tabac, this latest reincarnation will be serving a menu jam-packed full of CBD-based cocktails. The first of its kind in the city, the drinks here will contain sugar gomme infused with cannabidiol, making sure that Glasgowegians get their greens one sip at a time.
The space will be styled like a grow room, so expect plenty of botanicals, along with a huge neon hemp sign. And if you get a case of the late-night munchies? You’ll be able to hop next door to Tabac for a feast of cheesy croque monsieurs and charcuterie sharing platters.
CBD oil has become increasingly popular over the past few years, known for its reported anti-inflammatory properties, and supposed positive effects on anxiety and stress. Unlike the THC that is usually associated with cannabis, CBD is not psychoactive, so won’t trigger any mind-altering effects (although drink enough of these cocktails and the alcohol surely will).
This CBD cocktail bar will be opening soon at 10 Mitchell Lane (G1 3NU). Stay tuned for further updates.
