Located on Bath Street, they offer both a dining space on the ground floor and a bar upstairs, where you can get your hands on fantastic Greek wines, cocktails and soft drinks. Both stories feature simple, rustic decor, with exposed brick walls and wooden tables.

They claim to be the 'home of the gyros', and these feature quite heavily on their menu, with a choice of pork, chicken or seitan as your filling. They also serve moussaka, halloumi souvlaki and all kinds of mezze plates across both floors.

Halloumi Central

Halloumi Central aims to bring a taste of the Mediterranean to Glasgow, with its blend of authentic Greek and Cypriot flavours. The family-run favourite is located close to George Square, serving up affordable fare all day long. As for the venue itself, expect Greek island-style white brick walls, with tiled floors and a welcoming atmosphere.

They specialise in mezze here, with small plates including roasted aubergine with fresh garlic or homemade houmous. You can also nab larger dishes for less than a tenner, ranging from halloumi and sweet potato burgers to chicken gyros.

Elia Greek Restaurant Glasgow

If you're looking for traditional Greek restaurants in Glasgow city centre, Elia on George Square definitely fits the bill. The warm atmosphere feels just like a Greek taverna, and they've even got Ouzo to complete your experience. As well as their relaxed interior, there's a huge outdoor terrace that's perfect for the summer months.

Whether it's for a starter or as your whole meal, you can't go wrong with the mezze selection here. Think baked feta in a rich tomato sauce, spicy pork sausage or calamari, alongside larger plates such as lamb souvlaki and vegetable moussaka.

Santorini Restaurant

A charming Greek restaurant in Finnieston, Santorini is named after the idyllic island. They aim to transport you to the Mediterranean through their traditional recipes and warm hospitality, in a bright and airy venue that fronts a blue and white colour scheme.

Their specialties include swordfish souvlaki, eight-hour cooked lamb and flaming saganaki, paired with signature cocktails or wine sourced from Santorini. They also offer an express lunch menu of three dishes for £14.95 - think mussels in a spicy tomato sauce, vegetable moussaka and lamb meatballs, to name a few.

MacTassos

MacTassos is a family-run takeaway joint that's been around since 2017, with venues in both Glasgow Fort and on Kelvin Way. They specialise in authentic Greek gyros, which they sell for only £6.90 each, alongside other tasty items.

Tuck into pita filled with halloumi, falafel, pork or chicken, alongside Greek salad, baklava and more - cooked up fresh by their friendly team.

The Real Greek

Part of a popular chain that can be found up and down the country, The Real Greek's Glasgow outpost is located within the Silverburn shopping centre. It's a relaxed venue filled with blue and white decor, where you'll find some seriously affordable eats.

Their weekday lunch menu costs just £12 per person, or you can you can enjoy four dishes for £20 from 5pm Sunday to Thursday.
