Description
For almost 170 years, The Horseshoe Bar has been something of an institution in Central Glasgow. Boasting the accolade of the longest continuous bar in Britain, the pub is actually shaped like a horse shoe, and prides itself as the home of Travis' gold and platinum discs, donated by the band. Like many an old Victorian pub, the wood is dark and embellished, the ceiling is decorated with some ornate cornicing and there's antique tile flooring.
The crowd here are a bunch of seasoned yet friendly regulars, but The Horseshoe's further claim to fame is its legendary karaoke, seven, count 'em, seven, nights a week. With the standard intimidatingly high, these guys take their karaoke seriously so it's a great place to catch Glasgow's next big star. Full breakfast and pub grub staples make up the ample food menu while at the bar, you can choose from generous wine and cocktail menus as well as a massive selection of draughts and drams. A great traditional pub in the heart of Glasgow's City Centre.
