Description
Taking over the site formerly held by the Riverhill restaurant, Bibimbap is one of the premiere spots to grab Korean food in Glasgow. Named for Korea's favourite comfort food - a dish rice topped with sauteed vegetables, chilli or fermented soybean paste, or sliced meat - this city centre restaurant serves up some stunning and delicious plates of food, that are secretly not that bad for you.
Eclectically decorated with plenty of verdant foliage, neon lettering and a ceiling of multicoloured umbrellas. Menu items include a mouth-watering array of small plates, like kimchi and pork dumplings, king prawn tempura and Pajeon - a mixed seafood and spring onion pancake. Mains are an exciting mix of noodles, stir fries, soups, rice rolls, and deopbap - rice bowls - all of which come with a selection of toppings and flavours for customers to pick and choose.
The bar too carries an interesting selection of cocktails, from a Tamarind Old Fashioned, to a Roku Gin & Tonic and a tantalising Pina Korea - a mix of coconut fat-washed Brugal Blanco rum, pineapple and lime leaf shrub, Creme de Cacao, house-infused chilli bitters and a Goslings float.
