After making a name for themselves in Edinburgh, the family-run pizzeria, Civerinos, will open its doors in Glasgow later this year and we can’t wait to grab a slice of the action.
While the new launch remains shrouded in mystery, we’ll give you a quick lowdown on what to expect. The guys behind the pies already have four locations, all decked out with eye-popping décor - think bold colour schemes, jazzy tiles and neon lights. Throughout the day, the speakers play old school hip-hop while the team serve up their award-winning 'za to either eat-in or takeaway.
Now, let us tell you about the pizza. They fire up showstopping 20-inchers, New York-style, made with their nonna’s secret recipe. You'll find family favourites, as well as some more unusual choices (buttermilk fried chicken and satay sauce, anybody?) not to mention cheesy fries, side salads and dessert calzones. If you’re in need of a drink, you can sip on slushies infused with vodka or Sailor Jerry rum, classic Italian shots, tasty beers and fabulous wines. We can only hope that they bring a similar menu our way come launch day.
