Based on the vibrant Dumbarton Road, Down To Earth is a restaurant that uses only 100% organic ingredients in every dish it produces. Hoping to stress the benefits of avoiding pesticides and chemicals in your diet, this restaurant serves healthy dishes that take inspiration from all over the world.
The restaurant uses ingredients sourced from local farms and proudly states its motto is 'Once upon a time, everything was organic'. Open as early as 8 AM during the week, the menu features dishes such as granola, toasted sourdough and a variety of different egg-based dishes. On Sundays, the venue's revolving roast dinner menu makes use of meat that has been sourced to the highest standards of animal welfare.
Additionally, the team behind Down To Earth again show off the benefit of enjoying chemical free produce with their organic beer and cider menu, a list of drinks that apparently will leave you without a hangover. Each bottle has been made using fruit that's been allowed to ferment for over a year. Light and bursting with natural flavours, Down To Earth is unquestionably one of Glasgow's freshest eateries.
