What they say:
With strings of paper lanterns, communal wooden benches and a bamboo-roof Sake bar, you wouldn't be blamed for thinking you were in the back streets of Tokyo at Ramen Dayo's new permanent home. And that's precisely the idea after the founder spent 11 years living in the Japanese city before bringing his noodles to various Glasgow kitchens. The famous Yatai ramen cart now has a bricks and mortar site on Queen Street that serves delicious ramen as well as a few new surprise additions.
What we say:
There are a lot of seriously cool spots in Glasgow but Ramen Dayo looks set to take the crown with its new home. The date-perfect spot is based on all things Tokyo with gorgeous decor and low lighting. Food-wise, there is still delicious ramen noodles, but the new site also has brunch options, a sake bar and Japanese bar snacks. Who needs a flight to Tokyo when we've got a proper taste in our very own backyard?
