Description
Located on St Vincent Place, near the city centre, Di Maggio group's venue The Citizen is inspired by the building's history as a print works.
The large red sandstone building was first opened in 1889 and was the former Evening Citizen Building. To honour its newspaper past, the bar and eatery has newspaper-lined walls and pictures and articles from the original paper. The Citizen has space for more than 218, along with a private dining room and bar area.
Food focuses on the homely and comforting with plates such as pies and sandwiches. Beer is one of the most popular in Glasgow as Tenant's is stored in a tank beer system, ensuring a fresh tasting pint.
