Description
Having successfully run as a catering and pop-up company for a number of years, MalaCarne have made their outfit more permanent with a restaurant and cafe in Mount Florida, near the National Stadium. The spot is open during the day, serving breakfast and lunch, and while unable to serve alcohol, is open in the evening for special events.
The vegetarian and vegan restaurant has taken over the spot left by Maggie's Cafe and putting their own unique touches to it with reclaimed church pews and rustic decor, as well as stripping back the false ceiling to reveal beautiful cornice detailing. The menu is meat-free and diners can expect dishes such as squash and cavolo nero saag with potato and quinoa poha, and beetroot patties and butterbean mash.
