Glasgow’s ever-burgeoning vegan scene had just got one more restaurant stronger. Opening last week, The Now is bringing affordable plant-based dishes to the city’s Southside.
Last year the number of people following a vegan diet in the UK rocketed to 600,000, so it’s no surprise that the team behind this new eatery are looking to satisfy the appetites of this ever-growing demographic.
Gone are the days of stuffed peppers and not much else though, this place will offer a full menu of small plates, comfort food classics and ‘bowls of soul’. Menu highlights include cabbage pancakes, cottage pie and cauliflower and spinach dahl.
Holding a full license you’ll be able to make a night out of a trip here, meaning there’s no excuse to not try their mouth-watering pudding menu. Ours is the Belgian chocolate and raspberry torte, thanks.
All-day dining that’s easy on the conscience and even easier on the wallet? We'll see you there.
