Opened in September, The Drugstore Social is the latest venture for Kained Holdings - the team behind Glasgow's Porter & Rye and The Finnieston. The new restaurant has opened in the West End area of Glasgow and is modelled on an old pharmacy, including pictures of vintage prescription papers. It uses traditional methods and foraged, fresh ingredients to create health-conscious cocktails. Emphasis is on health and well-being with at least one ingredient in each cocktail being either medicinal, a superfood or environmentally friendly.
What we say:
While The Drugstore Social's opening was kept under wraps, we couldn't help be excited about the latest addition to Old Dumbarton Road. And it seems we were right to be; there's a vintage pharmacy theme and a strong sense of 'living well'. Kained Holdings have a reputation of opening up high quality and unique restaurants, from Scottish steak specialists Porter & Rye to sustainable local sea food and a gin bar at The Finniestone, and it seems The Drugstore Social is up to their usual standard.
