Description
Asian-inspired dishes, classic cocktails and weekend brunch are on the menu at this West End newbie.
Embargo, in the spot where Bar Gumbo used to be, appears to be more of a cosy affair than its predecessor, offering comfort food, a wide range of drinks and relaxing interiors. The interiors are stripped back, yet charming; with brick walls and snug seating. From boozy brunches, to after-work drinks, Embargo is a prime choice.
Dishes lean towards flavours from the Pacific and Australasia, with staples including salt and chilli squid, massaman cauliflower cheese and charred sirloin steak ramen. You'll want to leave room for dessert, as there's a burnt rose and coconut pannacotta with mango salsa on the cards. Come the weekend, it's all about brunch; think ricotta hotcakes and smashed avocado. When it comes to drinks, you can choose from classic cocktails, craft beers and carefully sourced wines.
