Byres Road Bar Crawl

Perched just to the west of Glasgow University, it will come as no surprise that Byres Road is a hella popular drinking spot for pleasure seekers and students alike. We've all fallen victim to the allure of Byres Road bars, pubs and clubs - why not then, set sail on a booze fuelled adventure through the watering holes of this ever popular student area? We've lined up a stellar route that's sure to keep thirst well at bay.

Record Factory

Swing around the corner from The Sparkle Horse onto Byres Road and you'll spot Record Faktory: cool as hell and really, really cheap, this West End bar is a must hit on any Byres Road bar crawl. It's proximity to Glasgow University means that it regularly pulls in a fun time crowd of students (did we mention the 89p drinks during the week?) as well as young professionals that can't quite wean themselves away from student life. A great choice for any Byres Road bar crawl, you won't want to miss out on a stop off at Record Faktory.

The Sparkle Horse

So, you'll want to start your Byres Road bar crawl at southern most tip of the street, with a view to finish up top. Head to The Sparkle Horse for a stormin' selection of brews on tap and a menu of hearty pub grub: best keep it chilled at the start, we've got a lot to get through. Sup away on West Brewery's St. Mungo's and Hefeweizen as well as Krusovice, with plenty more by the bottle in the fridges. You'll also want to sample the delight of the Patrick Swayze; a curious little cocktail concoction.
