Founded by bartenders Dariush Afshar Haghighi and Filippos Filippopoulos, The Watermark is setting the bar for Leeds' cocktail scene. Having worked in some of the city's best boozers; from The Alchemist to Living Ventures and Leelex, Haghighi and Filippopoulos have built up a flair for creative concoctions.
Spread across two floors, The Watermark offers two different spaces. Downstairs, it's all about highballs and lowballs set to slinky interiors. With a niche selection of unusual libations to choose from, you could be sipping on a white port and tonic-centred Shrub-Alub-Adub-Dub. Upstairs in The Living Room, you'll find cosy sofas and a plush dining table with a menu focusing on classics with a twist. Hungry imbibers are in luck because food is served all night long; so you could be tucking into cheeseboards, pork pies and Marmite-laced crumpets.
