Setting up shop on 5 Cross Belgrave Street, Tobacco Rd has arrived in Leeds, armed with a menu of slick cocktails and American-style cheat day nosh. Taking over the space which was previously home to El Marchador and Chida Cantina, it's all about exposed brickwork and steel accents with a lively atmosphere.
Designed by award-winning bartender Lee Jones (who also has a hand in the concoctions at Blind Tyger above), the drinks list leans towards unconventional takes on classic cocktails. From a rotating selection of craft beers to a grilled pineapple margarita alongside their riff on an old fashioned - which combines rye whiskey with hickory syrup and liquorice bitters - you can expect something a little different here.
Of course, drinks wouldn't be complete without decent food to soak it all up and their menu of American-style comfort food rounds off the spot nicely. Bites include gut-busting burgers, cheesy dippers and chicken wings.
