Thought you'd still be waiting until 17th May to see your favourite bar again? Think again, because this new Leeds pop-up is giving an outside space to those without and promising seats for up to 200 alfresco drinkers.
The largest outdoor terrace in the city, Merrion Street Festival sees some of the strip's best bars and restaurants joining forces to create a huge beer garden down the centre of the road. Among the venues taking part you'll find chicken connoisseurs Yard & Coop, cocktail rockers MOJO and the sleek, New York-inspired Manahatta.
Last summer the street played host to live music, drinking and great food over the course of one glorious weekend. This year, however, the festival will be extending its stay by a whole month, to make sure you and your favourite five don't have to go without sips and socialising. The area will also be fully weather-proof thanks to a 50m-long canopy, so even the Leeds drizzle can't stand in your way.
Merrion Street Festival runs every Wednesday - Sunday from 12th April to 17th May on Merrion Street, Leeds, LS2 8JE. Bookings are available via participating venues.
