Landing at MOD Pizza on Bond Street, Pazza is the lively spot that's promising fresh, locally sourced ingredients and handmade sauces. Slinging bowls of the stuff quicker than you can say “mamma mia," this new joint is going beyond late-night burgers and chips. But would the flavour match up?
Glowing lights, live music and neon signs give Pazza an undeniably fun atmosphere. As for the food, there's a concise list of seven Italian favourites. From scialatelli carbonara (£8.45) to rigatoni bolognese (£8.75) and a simple pasta pomodoro (£5.95), there’s a dish for everyone.
I wanted to try something a tad more ‘adventurous’ so chose the chicken and chorizo alfredo (£8.75). It was creamy, as you’d expect, and the rigatoni pasta was cooked al dente which I like. A few more sundried tomatoes would‘ve been nice but the spiciness of the chorizo provided a tasty kick.
There’s a vegan option too, with the veggie-packed pasta alla norma (£7.95) ladened with juicy courgettes, roasted red peppers and spinach. And if you like your pasta your way, they’ve catered for that too. For £9.45 you can design your own dish - choose your pasta, pick your sauce and decide your own toppings. Bellissimo.
