Description
Giggling Squid recreates the Thai family dining experience in the heart of Leicester, with its exotic ingredients, bold flavours and a ‘spoilt for choice’ array of dishes.
Catering for every taste, the extensive main menu offers a range of curries, stir fries, spicy Thai salads and fresh seafood. Bestsellers include salt & pepper squid – succulent squid cased in a light, crisp batter - deliciously rich massaman curry, vegan ruby noodle pad kimao and irresistible sticky chicken. If making a choice is too tricky, the lunch menu has a selection of Thai tapas as well as the popular Tapas Sets from only £9.95 offering a feast of four smaller portioned dishes. Vegan and kids’ menus are also available.
Set in the heart of St Martin’s Square, a hidden jewel of eateries minutes from the High Street, Giggling Squid delights the eyes as much as the taste buds. The interior boasts a greenhouse display of colour and brightness, with floral murals, walls decked in flowers and cosy willow-green banquets.
Founded by Pranee and Andy Laurillard in 2002, the Leicester Giggling Squid is their 35th restaurant but the warm, welcoming family-run ethos and spirit of Thai generosity is still at the heart of every Giggling Squid dining experience.
