We Ate Those Insta-Worthy Stuffed Croissants At Liverpool's Bohemian Beer Palace

At the big old age of early thirties, I’m now all about brunch dates over pub crawls. So, the chance to check out the new Albert's Schloss Liverpool by day was schnapped up (pun intended) by my guest and I. Decked out like a complete après-ski dream, the venue is full of natural light, quirky alpine features and the sounds of a good-vibes playlist.

Alberts Schloss Liverpool Breakfast Menu Review | DesignMyNight

The reviews are in - and this breakfast menu is all kinds of tasty.

The Albert's Schloss Liverpool menu for breakfast is small but mighty. We did make a beeline for the fluffy pancakes but alas, it was not meant to be as the kitchen didn’t have any prepped that day. I couldn’t stay mad for long though because fate led me to the kroissant royale (£9) - 'Haus' croissant topped with gouda, slow-cooked onions and smoked back bacon, served alongside a dollop of curry ketchup. What an absolute mouth party of rich flavours and contrasting textures. One I’ll crave, for sure.

My guest went for a mixed berry Danish pastry (£4) from the bakery, which was equally glorious. Glossy, golden pastry was light as a feather and embellished with sweet vanilla custard that complemented a crown of zingy fresh fruit. All that was washed down by some freshly-squeezed orange juice (£4) and a loaded hot schokolade (£5). There’s also a selection of ‘Liveners’ on the Albert's Schloss Liverpool drinks menu if you’d prefer your beverage boozy but I was already feeling pretty energised after an iced latte (£3.50).

Word to the wise: make sure you take a trip to the infamous toilets before you leave… No spoilers.

The DesignMyNight Digest

After resounding success in Manchester, Albert Schloss appears to be just as popular in Liverpool. The bright, airy space, in all its boho alpine glory, provides a beautiful backdrop for morning meals any day of the week. The food is fun but also delicious; the breakfast menu is relatively small but you’re sure to find something for everyone. Laidback vibes, friendly staff and a crackling fire are the icing on the cake (or the marshmallow on the hot schokolade).

💰 The damage: Just over £25 for a main breakfast dish, a pastry and a few drinks.

📍  The location: Radiant House, 18-26 Bold Street L1 4DS.

👌 Perfect for: Something more exciting than standard scrambled eggs.

⭐ Need to know: Visiting on a weekend? Check out the boho brunch menu for £25 per person.
