From the team behind Duke Street's Filter and Fox, Belzan is the product of a crowdfunding campaign by owners Owain Williams and Chris Edwards. Serving from breakfast until dinner, the ethos behind the restaurant was one of ethics and seasonality, as all the food served has been sourced with people and produce as the focus. The menu is subsequently a global mix of dishes that reflects the seasons, as well as Owain and Chris' personal favourite treats and taste-combinations that they've picked up on their travels.

The latest addition to Smithdown Road, this seasonal bar and bistro offers some of the most exciting dishes in the area. With a dinner menu that offers everything from pork collar yakatori to rabbit and blood orange ravioli, and a brunch and breakfast menu that runs the gamut of all your favourite morning eats, it's a perfect stopping off point whether you're trying to impress a date or simply assuage a nasty hangover. Relaxed and stylish, Belzan certainly knows how to blend high-end flavours with the atmosphere of a friendly neighbourhood restaurant.
