The masterminds behind the new restaurant Oktopus are dipping their toe in Liverpool's culinary pool, hosting a series of pop-up teaser events to test out the strength of their menu. Taking over the Black Lodge Brewery on Kitchen Street, the pop-up events will take place throughout February and March, leading up to the grand opening of the main restaurant on the 31st March.
Experimentation is the name of the game here. The main focus of the new eatery will be to offer fresh, seasonal dishes that really make an impression. Although the launch menu is constantly evolving, guests can expect to find dishes such as Parisian Gnocchi with pink goats cheese and Thai basil, Lamb belly with white anchovies, cumin soubise and braised leeks, and cured Sea Trout with smacked cucumbers.
To enhance certain flavours and really help the pop-up stand out, each dish will be paired up with one of the brewery's craft beers.
The Oktopus pop-up restaurant will be open at the Black Lodge Brewery on Thursdays and Fridays, between 3 PM and 10 PM, and on Saturdays between midday and 10 PM. The restaurant itself will open on Hardman Street, L1 9AX, on the 31st March.
