Daniel Heffy's NORD Gains A Spot In The Michelin Guide After A Year Of Being Open

NORD Liverpool Michelin | DesignMyNight

This Liverpool restaurant's Michelin Guide mention brings it up there with the very best.

Famous local chef and the brains behind Secret Diners Club, Daniel Heffy, opened a luxury restaurant in The Plaza just over a year ago. Now, not long after celebrating being crowned Conde Nast Traveller’s Best Restaurant of the Year, the team at NORD have another accolade to add to their collection: a coveted Michelin Guide inclusion.

Inspired by Heffy’s time working at Michelin star kitchens in Scandinavia, such as Frantzen and Adam/Albin, this gorgeous restaurant offers a 'travelled British' style of dining. Expect ingredients that are sourced from Birkenhead-based fishmonger Wards Fish, alongside tender meat from Caterite in Cockermouth. Whether you fancy rhubarb-cured seabass, sweet and sour trio of pork, or a lip-smacking banana sticky toffee pud, they've got you covered.

Even Sunday roasts are accounted for, thanks to a two or three-course menu for a very reasonable £29 and £34, respectively. Drinks are equally impressive, ranging from increasingly popular orange wine to Mersey Beet and Red Rum Club cocktails.
