They say as one door closes another opens, and it seems this is certainly the case for Liverpool’s Cabin Club. Following the closure of the legendary venue, which once inspired George Harrison’s song ‘Don’t Bother Me’ for The Beatles, another indie music venue is moving in.
Having gained notoriety in Manchester, Jimmy’s is a grassroots venue that champions craft beer, underground music and a good time. Previous events at its first location include Dot to Dot festival, Record Store Day and Independent Venue week. With regards to live music, the venue has welcomed artists such as The Amazons, SOAK, Bakar and Tom Grennan. The bar also happens to brew its own VPA, lager and cider served on-site.
Opening fully on the 1st August, Jimmy’s have already announced a string of upcoming live shows across the autumn. These include an album launch from Southport-based No Hot Ashes, underground rock star Johnny Lloyd and indie pop band Only The Poets, displaying the venue’s commitment to championing up-and-coming artists.
