Gaucho Liverpool

Argentinian steak restaurant Gaucho can be located nestled in a Grade II-listed building on Water Street whipping up its famous rare Black Angus beef to your liking and channelling a sophisticated feel with contemporary interiors, a golden bar and low-hanging lights. If you're seeking restaurants with private dining rooms in Liverpool, you'll be pleased to know that Gaucho has two.

The Board Room is the largest, with room for up to 18 friends; decked out with a fireplace and panelled walls, it has a cosy feel to it. The Bankers Office is for a more intimate number of guests (nine, to be exact), and features two pretty arched windows facing right out onto the street. Food-wise, you can pick from a feast, sharing, signature or canape menu, and expect to devour beef empanadas, sea bass, chocolate brownies and more.

Browns Brasserie & Bar Liverpool

Host your special occasion at Browns Brasserie & Bar Liverpool, located in the middle of Paradise Place. The relaxing space pulls it out of the bag when it comes to crowd-pleasing all-day dining and its private dining options are no different.

The mezzanine level is flooded with natural light and surrounded by rich, leather booths and bronzed lamps, and is ideal for parties. Hire it for up to 65 guests and choose from a range of menus, including its signature classics and buffet spreads. Looked forward to seafood platters, sticky BBQ chicken skewers, lobster linguine and more, all topped off with bubbles, of course.

Riva Blu - Liverpool

Searching for private dining rooms in Liverpool city centre? Allow us to point you to Riva Blu, the authentic Italian restaurant perched on Castle Steet. It transports you straight to the Amalfi Coast, with its wave-coloured blue furnishings and golden, soft lighting paired with traditional fare.

In the former vault of the building, you'll find The Bullion Room, a secluded space ideal for up to 50 guests. Book your birthday, anniversary or engagement meal here and delight in personal service, a private cocktail and wine bar, a state-of-the-art music system and scrumptious seasonal set menus. Wolf down Southern Italian comforts like parmigiana, calamari and tiramisu and make it a party to remember.

Restaurant Bar & Grill - Liverpool

Restaurant Bar & Grill Liverpool is housed in the former banking hall of Halifax House, boasting towering golden pillars, sparkling chandeliers and high ceilings. Right in the heart of the commercial district, it's a central place to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or wedding, especially in its private dining room.

Seating up to 20 guests, the intimate space has full AV and projection capabilities, stunning chinoiserie wallpaper and pendant lighting. It has a luxurious feel and offers a range of food packages to cater to all; from canapés to day delegate rates and more. Menus start from £40.75 per person for three courses, including miso glazed aubergine, Angus and Hereford sirloin with triple cooked chips and burnt Basque cheesecake or warm chocolate fondant for dessert.

Duke Street Market

For a chilled feast with friends, a birthday party or even an anniversary meal with loved ones, Duke Street Market can provide its exclusive dining options. The much-loved food spot in the heart of the city boasts six independent kitchens to choose from, plus an array of cocktails, spirits and beers.

Its private dining room is perfect for intimate events, with a capacity for 50 guests - it features a personal bar and a smart TV fit for music and videos. And as for food? You'll have your pick of the lot, from Spanish kitchen Picar, led by Harry Marquart and his team of chefs, steak restaurant Bone and Block, and Latin barbeque kings Cahita, plus so much more.

If you're looking to gather your friends to tuck into some delicious (and affordable) Italian fare for a special occasion, Gusto Liverpool's private dining room is an excellent choice. Adorned with foliage, twinkly lights and sporting exposed brick walls to give it a little alfresco feel, it offers a cosy backdrop for parties of eight or more.

Delight in set menus starting from £36.95 per person and feast on the likes of spicy mozzarella arancini to start, or the restaurant's signature dough ball petals, then proceed with silky strands of crab fettuccine, honey, lemon and thyme chicken or rib-eye steak. Pair these with a glass of red and be sure to leave room for the pistachio crème brûlée.

The Art School Restaurant

Paul Askew's The Art School Restaurant offers a fine dining experience in a former lantern room within a Victorian building, previously known as the 'Home for Destitute Children'. It comes complete with vintage interiors, 48 red chairs, a Champagne cellar bar, and a handful of private dining rooms. The Lantern Room can be secured for all your intimate feasting needs - you'll even have the entire kitchen and front-of-house team at your disposal as you wine and dine among velvet furnishings.

If you're looking to seat between 10 and 28 friends, opt for the Moriarty Room. Found on the same floor, it sports stained glass windows and wooden bookcases. Choose between the tasting menu (£125 per person), Excellence (£95) and Prix Fixe (£49.50) and tempt your tastebuds with a pan-roast fillet of Liverpool Bay line-caught wild seabass with surf clams, tenderloin of red deer venison with new season baby vegetables and more.

Hawksmoor Liverpool

Hawksmoor Liverpool's private dining area is a thing of beauty. Step inside the stunning Grade II-listed building near Castle Street and you'll find the spectacular steak restaurant nodding to all things 1920s, sporting lamps copped straight from the streets of Paris during that era.

The New Yorker Room, seating up to 18 people, can be found just off of the main entrance, celebrating links between Liverpool and New York architecturally. The menus here are designed to be shared and showcase an array of the eatery's signature dishes and sustainable meat. Tuck into steaks cooked to order, delectable sides like beef dripping chips and moreish puddings. All of this can be paired with wines selected by an expert team, and you can even create a bespoke cocktail for your event too.

Panoramic 34

Travel up high to the 34th floor of the West Tower and you'll find Panoramic 34, a luxury eatery offering some stunning private dining rooms in Liverpool. Marvel at floor-to-ceiling windows and 360-degree views of the river, city and beyond as you tuck into delicious, seasonal plates.

The fourth floor is where you'll find a private room with space for an intimate 20 people to wolf down a delicious set menu for £85 per head, and £130 with wine. Tuck into smoked applewood custard with confit pink fir potato, alongside charred leek and black truffle, then move onto a delicate, langoustine and scallop ravioli before finishing with a chocolate and caramel tart.

El Gato Negro Liverpool

Inject a little tasty tapas into your next foodie get-together, birthday or big event with El Gato Negro's private dining space. The restaurant's acclaimed chef, Simon Shaw, will be serving his signature Spanish plates for groups of up to 18 in a neon-lit space decorated with a glowing pink cat, chandeliers and sleek, wooden furnishings.

Parties will be hosted by personal waiting staff, where you and your friends will tuck into a curated group menu for £45 per head. Think harissa spiced chicken thighs with mojo picon, mini Catalan chorizo with Aspall cider and patatas bravas, of course. There's also a vegetarian option for £3 less, featuring more scrumptious dishes like caramelised cauliflower with shabu shabu.
