Description
After you’ve posed for a few snaps with the John Lennon statue on Mathew Street, it’s only right that you pop for a drink or two inside The Cavern Pub.
Not to be mixed up with the Cavern Club (which is directly opposite) this is another of Liverpool’s legendary watering holes draped with vintage music memorabilia from some of the UK’s most famous acts. It’s open daily from 11am, attracting both a loyal crowd of regulars and music fans from right across the globe, each looking to soak in the history and prestige of a place that has seen The Beatles, Oasis, Led Zeppelin and Stevie Wonder take to the stage at one point or another.
The pub serves a handy selection of paninis, toasties, sandwiches and wraps, with a regularly rotating list of beers showcasing the best of Liverpool breweries at the bar. There’s 10% off the food bill for anybody on the Magical Mystery Tour, and free entry to see the live bands every night of the week.
