7 reviews - Pub
Description
Perfectly located in the heart of Liverpool City Centre, Doctor Duncan's is a short stroll from both Lime Street Station and The Liverpool Empire Theatre. Doctor Duncans is renowned for its cask ales with fabulous art decorating the venue, including a Victorian medicine cabinet, fireplaces and a stunning tiled room. A venue that lives up to being named in The Liverpool Echo's list of 10 most beautiful pubs.
Enjoy a real ale whilst over looking St George's Hall and St John's Gardens or relax with a warming bowl of Scouse. The bar is also perfectly located for pre or post football beers. With the Anfield and Goodison Park Soccer Buses heading off from right outside the door its a great spot to calm the nerves before kick off or to celebrate a win.
Originating back in 1901, and originally the eye-catching entrance to The Pearl Insurance building, the pub's namesake was Liverpudlian William Henry Duncan, The UK's first medical health officer.
